Job summary

Biltmore Church is seeking a Floater Teacher to support classrooms from infants through Pre-K. This role provides flexible coverage, collaborates with Lead and Assistant Teachers, and helps maintain a safe, nurturing environment across the Academy.

The Floater Teacher participates in daily routines, engages children with developmentally appropriate activities, and follows established schedules while supporting staff during breaks and absences.

Qualifications

• Must meet NC DCDEE Lead Teacher qualifications (or be willing to obtain).
• Previous experience in licensed childcare preferred.
• Strong communication with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across infant through Pre-K as assigned, including breaks and absences.
• Maintain active supervision and ensure safety per procedures.
• Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time and transitions.
• Engage children with age-appropriate play and activities.
• Follow Lead Teacher plans and academy routines.
• Build positive relationships with families and team.
