Job summary

Brown Christian Academy seeks an enthusiastic Floater for Pre-K programs to support classroom teachers and supervise students. The role involves preparing instructional materials, assisting in activities, and maintaining a well-organized environment across Pre-K2 to Pre-K4 classrooms.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of professional child care experience, be energetic, and able to work well with others. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional child care experience.
• High energy for active classroom environments.
• Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in maintaining a well-organized classroom.
• Assist students with exercises and activities, including small groups and individuals.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom for activities.
• Supervise students in various school areas and during routines.
• Record attendance, assist with assessments and data as needed.
• Support classroom behavior objectives and student management.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and school-related duties.
