Qualifications

• A personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ modeled by a commitment to supporting the vision, leadership and beliefs of Biltmore Church.
• A Christ-like testimony in and out of the workplace.
• Active involvement and membership in a local Bible teaching, Gospel-centered church that aligns with Biltmore Church mission and values.
• Must meet NC DCDEE Lead Teacher qualifications (or be willing to obtain).
• Previous experience with children in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about child development, positive guidance, developmentally appropriate practices, and childcare health and safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Dependable, organized, and able to lead with structure and warmth.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across infant through Pre-K classrooms as assigned, including during breaks, absences, transitions, and other staffing needs.
• Maintain appropriate supervision of children and follow all safety, licensing, and Academy procedures.
• Engage with children through age-appropriate play and activities, and positive interactions.
• Follow established classroom schedules and routines provided by the Lead Teacher.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
