Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to infants in the Special Care Nursery on an as-needed basis. The role emphasizes family-centered care and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

The OT will assess, treat, and document plans, support infant development, and participate in related rehabilitation activities. A BA/MA in OT and WI OT license are required, with BLS ensured within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Wisconsin state OT license.
• AHA BLS certification within 90 days.
• RN/OT/PT/SLP, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to infants in the Special Care Nursery.
• Assess patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions designed to support development, function, and participation.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Support family-centered care through education, communication, and collaboration with parents and caregivers.
• Participate in Rehabilitation Services department activities and initiatives designed to enhance patient care and clinical programs.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
