Job summary

The Cradle Company in San Francisco, CA is seeking a nurturing nanny to provide full-time, long-term care for a 5-month-old infant starting mid-September. The role emphasizes calm, patient, responsive caregiving within a loving family setting.

Ideal candidates have a background in early childhood education, strong English language development skills (native or near-native), and flexibility with a hybrid parental schedule. Greek language skills are a welcome bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for young infants
• Excellent observational skills and responsiveness to a baby’s cues
• Ability to plan age-appropriate developmental activities and routines
• Native or near-native English preferred; Greek language a bonus

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for the baby, including feeding, diapering, hygiene, and naps
• Follow wake windows and cues to support healthy sleep patterns
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities (tummy time, reading, sensory play)
• Take the baby on walks and provide safe outdoor exploration
• Encourage cognitive, social, and physical development through play and communication
• Maintain a clean, nurturing environment for the baby
• Assist with baby laundry and keeping nursery tidy
