Job summary

Midtown Montessori Academy in Denver seeks a full-time Infant Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher to support the lead guide in implementing Montessori methods for infants aged 8 weeks to 18 months. The role emphasizes a safe, peaceful prepared environment, respectful caregiving, and freedom of movement for babies.

Responsibilities include observation, environment prep, caregiving routines, and accurate log keeping.

Qualifications

• Meets Colorado state standards for infant/toddler licensing
• Infant CPR/First Aid certification desired; MMA will assist in obtaining
• implies experience or interest in MACTE-accredited Infant/Toddler training

Responsibilities

• Observe infants’ motor, language, and social development and share observations with the Lead Infant Guide
• Maintain safe, orderly, and clean environment with low shelves and tactile materials
• Support diapering, feeding (breastmilk, formula, solids), and nap routines per licensing guidelines
• Encourage infants’ independent movement in a safe space
• Keep logs of feeding, sleeping, diapering, and milestones
• Assist with calm daily transitions and supportive guidance from the lead guide
• Collaborate with the Lead Infant Guide and refer parent inquiries as needed
