UNC Health's Human Milk and Specialty Formula Room seeks a dedicated technician to prepare infant feedings for the Children’s Hospital, translating EPIC orders into recipes and delivering feeding products to units. You will fortify milk and formula with precision, document processes, and ensure proper storage and safety standards.

The role collaborates with Pediatric Dietitians, Nursing, Lactation Services, Genetics, and NCCC dietitians, contributing to recipe development and patient nutrition.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• Strong math and measurement skills for fortification.
• Ability to communicate professionally with hospital staff.

Responsabilidades

• Translate feeding orders in EPIC into established recipes and prepare final feeding products.
• Fortify infant formula and human milk with precision using established procedures.
• Document feeding details and inventory in the clinical flowsheet and EPIC.
• Ensure proper temperature control and safe storage of milk and formulas; monitor expiration dates.
• Collaborate with Pediatric Dietitians, Nursing, Lactation Services, Genetics, and other teams for recipe development and patient care.
• Assist with training new personnel and uphold infection control standards.
