Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High energy and ability to work well with staff, children and parents.
• Understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Background check and health screening.
• Associate’s Degree in early childhood education with at least 30 credits in ECE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices.
• Lead by example; coach and model to support teaching team success.
• Plan age-appropriate activities to engage children and foster growth.
• Maintain communications with parents through discussions, progress reports, conferences.
• Ensure center policies and state regulations are met.
• Maintain a healthy, safe classroom environment and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Keep accurate records and pursue ongoing professional development.
