Job summary

Clemson Creative Academy in Clemson, SC is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher for the Infant classroom. A high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks, and being at least 18 years old are required; prior childcare experience is a plus.

You will prepare and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, foster a supportive relationship with families, ensure safety, and maintain child portfolios. The shift is Monday–Friday, 8:15 am–5:15 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Candidates must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly covering all areas of child development and carry out classroom routine.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios, conduct periodic parent/teacher conferences.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.
