Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Bucktown, Chicago is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to work closely with teachers and families, ensuring a home-away-from-home environment for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

You will help develop developmentally appropriate curricula, curate engaging activities, and maintain a warm, safe space for exploration while communicating effectively with parents/guardians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
