The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher for our Preppers classroom serving children ages 2.5-3. You will lead daily activities, implement the LEAP Curriculum, and build strong relationships with families.

We offer a full-time Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay ($21.00-$24.00/hr), and professional development in a supportive teaching environment. A Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or approved study toward it is required, with NYC qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or approved study toward completing a bachelor's degree in ECE, where permitted by licensing requirements.
• Must meet NYC qualifications for the assigned teaching position.
• Previous professional preschool or early childhood education experience preferred.
• Experience working with children ages 2-3 strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily classroom activities and routines for children ages 2.5-3.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Encourage language development, independence, problem-solving, and positive social interactions.
• Plan engaging activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, and hands-on learning.
• Support toilet training, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions.
• Establish consistent routines and use positive behavior guidance.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain classroom documentation.
• Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Follow applicable NYC childcare licensing requirements.
