At Squiggle Room Early Learning Center, we believe every child deserves a nurturing, stimulating, and joyful start to their educational journey. We are inspired by Reggio Emilia and Creative Curriculum philosophies, and we pride ourselves on providing a safe, creative, and engaging environment for children and staff alike. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our team and support our youngest learners with care, compassion, and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants (6 weeks – 18 months).
- Develop and implement daily routines that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain compliance with Michigan childcare licensing rules and health/safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure positive classroom management and smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with parents through daily reports, updates, and conferences.
- Track developmental milestones and document progress for each child.
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom culture.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Previous experience in an infant classroom or childcare setting required.
- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia, or Creative Curriculum preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
