Job summary

Northstar Preschools is seeking an Infant Teacher to nurture, care for, and educate our youngest learners in a safe, engaging environment. You will implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and model positive behavior in both classroom and playground settings.

You will conduct regular observations and assessments, adapt instruction to individual needs, and maintain open communication with families.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements for education.
• Must meet all education and experience standards and requirements established by the state and applicable accreditation agency.
• Must be teacher-qualified according to applicable state requirements.
• Ability to coach others, provide positive direction, and delegate tasks effectively.
• At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare center preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Company-provided curriculum with weekly lesson plans across ten learning domains.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet individual developmental levels through observation and assessments.
• Interact with children and model socially appropriate behavior in the classroom and playground.
• Develop and participate in physical activities requiring standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Conduct regular classroom observations and assessments based on age-related interests and needs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment and report hazards or injuries as required.
• Provide daily written and verbal feedback to parents and conduct biannual conferences.
• Attend required staff trainings and meetings as directed by the School Director.
