Job summary

St. Joseph Academy seeks a Co-Lead Infant Teacher to join the Early Childhood program.

You will assist in daily programming, support developmentally appropriate care, and partner with the Lead Infant Teacher to meet children's needs and communicate with families. Responsibilities include implementing the Creative Curriculum, maintaining licensed standards, and collaborating with staff to provide a high-quality learning environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in early childhood education or related field required.
• Level 9 or above on the Registry.
• 1+ years experience within early care in licensed childcare setting.
• Exemplary interpersonal, collaborative, and planning skills.
• Ability to analyze an issue, identify options, and implement solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, their families, management, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures consistent compliance and meets all licensing regulations.
• Teaching practices that are planned and executed reflect developmentally appropriate curriculum for children.
• Classroom environment is cleaned, organized, and refreshed with learning centers and displays.
• Educational materials and toys are cleaned, sanitized, and stored for safety and use.
• Maintains well designed, child-focused bulletin boards reflecting children's work.
• Develops and implements lesson plans in accordance with the Creative Curriculum and SJA philosophy.
• Maintains supervision of children at all times and communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Communicates progress to families while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Extends excellent service to all children and families.
• Facilitates transitions for children between home, Center, and classrooms.
