Job summary

The YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking an Infant Assistant Teacher to provide loving care and developmental support for infants aged six weeks to twelve months within a nurturing, educational setting aligned with our mission.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 1:00–6:30pm (varies by schedule), with a focus on partnering with the Lead Teacher, engaging families, and ensuring compliance with licensing and quality standards to deliver a high-quality child care experience.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Completed high school or GED program.
• Ability to pass a background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a caring adult presence for infants aged six weeks to twelve months.
• Work cooperatively with Lead Teacher to implement daily lessons and activities.
• Build relationships with parents and adults to support each child.
• Be part of a team focused on helping children grow and learn.
• Adhere to State Licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements.
