Job summary

River Road Early Learning Center is seeking an Infant Teacher who is compassionate and knowledgeable about early development. You will support infants' cognitive, language, social, and physical growth in a warm classroom.

The role emphasizes nurturing caregiving, collaboration with co-teachers, and adherence to safety and licensing standards, with opportunities for professional growth within our educational community.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and responsive classroom where infants feel secure and loved.
• Build trusting relationships with each child through nurturing caregiving.
• Monitor and support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional milestones.
• Feed, diaper, comfort, and care for infants with positive interactions.
• Encourage early language development through reading, singing and conversation.
• Observe and document each child's developmental progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and administrators to provide high-quality care.
• Follow Virginia licensing regulations and center policies.
