Job summary

Country Kids Day Care, Inc. seeks an Infant Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teacher and Center Director in caring for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants in a group care setting preferred.
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR.
• Pass criminal background check and required health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing responsive routines and age-appropriate activities for infants.
• Actively supervise feeding, diapering, tummy time, and interactive play.
• Attend to basic needs including bottle-feeding and comforting as needed.
• Prepare and serve bottles and infant meals according to schedules and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom environment meeting safety standards.
• Monitor for illness or developmental concerns and communicate observations to Lead Teacher.
• Build trusting relationships with infants and communicate with families about milestones.
• Provide a calm, nurturing atmosphere supporting emotional security and individualized care.
• Adhere to center policies, licensing regulations, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Ensure consistency in routines and attendance; step into Lead Teacher duties when needed.
