Summary
Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center is currently hiring an Assistant Infant teacher for our Infant classroom. The role supports Lead Teachers, Director, and Assistant Director to provide a safe, loving Christian environment that fosters children's social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development. The assistant teacher assists in activities that improve overall care and education quality, observes and documents child activities, meals, and progress, and relays information to parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional confidentiality standards in communication between employees and/or parents.
- Provide a safe, loving environment that nurtures social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child.
- Assist lead teacher in lesson plan and schedule implementation, supervision, and management; encourage and support child participation aligned with program goals.
- Follow program schedule for classroom activities, outdoor time, meals, snacks, and special events.
- Maintain positive communication with families daily through Procare.
- Maintain a safe, comforting and stimulating environment.
- Manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Change diapers and/or soiled clothes.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1+ year of on‑the‑job training experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Maintain 18 hours of continued training each year.
- Must work full‑time, Monday–Friday.
- Reliable transportation.
- Will complete a satisfactory comprehensive national background check through Bright From the Start.

- Must not use electronics while on the clock unless for Procare or permitted documentation.

- Willing to follow mission statement and lead by example.
