Job summary

Team Penske in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Fabricator to build and repair race vehicle components for IndyCar and IMSA programs. You will cut, shape, weld (MIG/TIG), drill, sand, and assemble metal and composite parts to precise engineering specs.

You must read drawings, work safely in a fast-paced environment, maintain clean work area, and collaborate with engineering and quality control to ensure repeatable performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma minimum.
• Safe use of fabrication hand tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Able to manage projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience reading engineering drawings preferred.
• Welding experience of 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components to meet requirements per drawings and engineering directives.
• Cut, shape, weld (MIG/TIG), drill, and prepare tubing and panels.
• Prepare items for painting or wrapping and ensure surface quality.
• Document work routines and measurements for repeatability.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with PPE and safety standards.
• Assist other team members in the Fabrication area.
