Job summary

Titan America in Tampa, FL is seeking an Industrial Plant Mechanic to coordinate and perform maintenance on plant machinery and maximize equipment availability through proactive preventative programs.

You will work with three-phase electrical systems, conveyors, compressors, dryers, and water systems, with lifting and climbing required. Evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required, and a safety-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2–5 years’ experience as a mechanic in a production environment.
• History of working safely.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Work with and repair threephase electrical systems, controls and electrical systems.
• Repair pneumatic systems including compressors, dryers and solenoid valves.
• Repair conveyor components, splicing belts, tracking belts and belt components.
• Repair water systems, bladder tanks and booster pumps.
• Welding various items around the plant and related maintenance tasks.
• Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
• Prepare work orders and keep equipment in operation, clean and safe.

TheIndustrial PlantMechanicis responsible forcoordinating andmonitoringthe maintenance and repair of plant machinery andmaximizeequipment availabilitythrough the use ofefficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally-sound maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Repair pneumatic systems including compressors, dryers, and solenoid valves.

• Repair conveyor components, splicing belts, tracking belts, and belt components.

• Repair water systems, bladder tanks, and booster pumps.

• Weldingvarious itemsaround the plant, i.e., cutting, ox and acc.,

• Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.

• Prepare work orders

• Keeps the equipment beingoperated,cleanand safe.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of three phase electrical systems

• Working knowledge of compressors,dryersand other similar types of machinery.

• Working knowledge of conveyor systems and belts.

• Must be able toworkingat heights, climbing, and working in the heat.

• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb to heights of at least 50 feetfrequently.

• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Able to work 12 hr. plus shifts as needed.

• Able to work nights and weekends as needed.

Required Experience:

• At least 2 to 5 years’ experience as a mechanic workingon productionenvironment.

• History of working safely.
