Job summary

Titan America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Port of Tampa terminal facility. This hourly role reports to the Terminal Manager and emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and hands-on repair work.

The candidate should have at least 3 years in industrial maintenance, with welding and fabrication experience. The job requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and CMMS, with potential night and weekend schedules.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; on-the-job training provided.
  • 3+ years in mechanical repair or industrial maintenance.
  • Must hold Florida driver’s license with clean MVR.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Lead complex repairs and coordinate with contractors.
  • Develop and maintain equipment history records.
  • Operate hand-held radio per policy and FCC regulations.
  • Lead safety trainings and line inspections when required.

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated MaintenanceTechnician Ifor our Port of Tampa terminal facility.This hourly position will report directly to the Terminal Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to all safetypoliciesrules and regulations (Titan & OSHA).
  • Participatesin orleadsrequired safetytrainingsand meetings.
  • Communicateswell with all terminal personnel; be a team player.
  • Knowledge ofMaintainXanasset and able to use anIpadto complete and create workordersas necessary.
  • Perform all required safety checks before performing any maintenance work.
  • Whileplantis running, perform visual inspection routes for deficiencies anddocument.
  • Advanced welding and torchingexperience;fabrication experience, andability to improve equipment designs when necessary.
  • Performs all work in a manner to maximize safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Knowledge of hardware sizes, general mechanics, hand tools, power tools, and repair practices.
  • Lead coworkers or contractors in complex repairs to the plant and other systems on site.
  • Have in-depth knowledge or training of compressors, blowers, conveyors, belts, bearings, screws, and other cement and aggregate processing equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance work on fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Leads troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment issues.Identifiesand communicates efficiently withManagerand recommends repair strategy.
  • Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA)regardingequipment, processes, and incidents.
  • Develop andmaintainrecords of work performed toassistin tracking equipment history.
  • Operates hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulations.
  • Mayassistwith truck, railcar & ship loading andunloadingas necessary.
  • May be scheduled to work nights and weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and on-the-job training.
  • Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Ability to obtain andmaintaina TWIC card
  • 3 years of experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in a plant or industrial environment. Certification in industrial maintenancea plus.
  • Advanced welding skills, certificationa plus.
  • Must have a working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and torching equipment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office applications knowledge and CMMS experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, OSHA regulations,and ofrelated safety practices.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Abilityto tasktrain other personnel and lead repair jobs.
  • Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends andovertimeas necessary.
