The Industry Solution Director role combines Business and Product Development with high domain expertise. The director will work with customers to identify and quantify impactful business opportunities, scope them into solvable problems using C3 AI’s platform, and drive solution delivery with significant business value. Candidates should have a detailed understanding of C3 AI’s competitive position in the Operations Research, Logistics, and Network Analysis markets, along with deep knowledge of how AI/ML and Optimization can address related challenges.

Recent successful engagements include production schedule optimization, supply network visibility, supply chain process mining, and assembly line predictive maintenance—projects with high visibility and impact.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead high-performing teams comprising data scientists, solutions engineers, application engineers, and product managers to deliver quick, production-ready AI/ML applications.
2. Collaborate with decision-makers, IT leaders, Data Science Leads, and subject matter experts to identify and frame compelling use cases for the C3 AI Suite.
3. Partner with C3 AI Sales and potential clients to communicate offerings, define tractable AI/ML/Optimization use cases, and scope applications.
4. Contribute domain expertise to guide data science efforts and lead customer discussions in specific domains.
5. Translate firsthand experience into impactful input for product strategy and direction.
6. Be prepared to travel regularly (25+%) to customer sites.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have an advanced technical degree and domain expertise in supply chain environments, with:

• Over 10 years of experience solving Inventory, Logistics, and Scheduling challenges across Transportation, Manufacturing, and R&D sectors.
• BS/MS/PhD in fields such as Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Extensive experience in technical problem solving.
• Knowledge of AI/ML/Big Data use cases and experience leading their development with clients.
• Experience with Network Analysis, Sequencing Problems, Linear Programming, Queuing, Inventory Control, and Replacement Problems.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, and experience engaging senior executives and decision-makers.
• Proven ability to deliver results, learn quickly, and lead projects across diverse, global teams.
• Experience supporting or leading sales processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s in Data Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, or related fields.
• Experience analyzing large datasets with Big Data/AI/ML tools, familiar with frameworks like Value Stream Map or Process Mining.
• Experience in agile engineering environments.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape in Supply Chain solutions and enterprise big data/machine learning platforms.
• Strong public speaking and customer engagement skills.
