Job description

Our client, the world’s leading entertainment streaming service, is looking for an Industry Relations Specialist.

This is an on-site, 7-month contract. You must be able and authorized to work in Los Angeles, CA and must not hold H-1B visa status. The hourly rate is $60.00; benefits are available through Talent Table. No C2C.

The Role

This role supports engagement strategy and execution within the Industry Relations & Partnerships team, contributing to Creative Innovation, Sustainability, MPS, and other teams and initiatives. It supports vendor and technology partner promotional programs across UCAN & LATAM and liaises with EMEA and APAC regional POCs to ensure global alignment. The role produces and project manages our Editorial arm, overseeing asset creation, strategy input, and rollout execution. It coordinates across Comms, Legal, Policy, and title teams to help align strategic narratives with Content Operations & Innovation initiatives. Additionally, it helps shape messaging, supports relationships with technology partners, vendors, and BTL talent as brand advocates, and helps ensure a unified presence at industry events and awards.

Position Overview

The team is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive contributor capable of executing across diverse marketing and industry relations workstreams. This role requires the ability to juggle multiple projects at once, ensuring all deliverables meet a high standard of quality while aligning with evolving strategies, deadlines, budgets, and regional sensitivities. A key component of this position is the ability to communicate clearly and adapt messaging for different audiences across the organization.

You'll work closely with a small, tight-knit team, including a coordinator and a dedicated editorial resource, while coordinating with peer regional POCs in EMEA/APAC and a wide network of cross-functional stakeholders across Comms, Legal, Policy, and title teams. The team operates with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining tight alignment, moving quickly across shifting priorities and multiple concurrent portfolios. You will report to the Manager, Industry Relations & Partnerships, supporting them in executing and updating memos and strategies, managing your own workstreams, and helping coordinate resourcing for the editorial workstream. You will be expected to be a reliable resource to your immediate team as well as cross-functional partners across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external production, post-production, and VFX vendors to support marketing and communication initiatives aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Help execute go-to-market strategies and key messaging for global initiatives, including the Media Production Suite, the Unified Partner Program, and other strategic programs.
  • Support project coordination across multiple workstreams to help ensure strategic alignment and timely delivery.
  • Assist with editorial resourcing to address the shifting needs of the organization and support ongoing workstreams.
  • Ensure all co-promotional activities maintain brand consistency, align with title campaign strategies, and appropriately leverage intellectual property.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of communications experience within the entertainment technology, production, post-production, or VFX industry.
  • Proven ability to support strategy execution and manage individual partnership workstreams from concept to execution, combined with strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills that enable the successful management of initiatives with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of IP licensing as it relates to branding and content.
  • Culturally sensitive, with experience collaborating cross-functionally with a diverse range of global stakeholders, including creatives, engineers, and technology groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience developing presentations.
Nice-to-Haves or Preferred Skills
  • Prior producer or project coordination experience in editorial/content production (asset creation through rollout).
  • Existing relationships with, or familiarity with, industry bodies (VES, ASWF, guilds).
  • Experience with regional and global brand coordination, with sensitivity to cultural and market differences.
  • Sustainability industry knowledge or interest, given adjacent workstream support.
  • Solid narrative and messaging instincts, with the ability to help translate strategy into external-facing talking points.
  • Familiarity with a variety of tools, including Airtable, Claude, and similar platforms, to aid in building and maintaining effective tracking and workflow management systems.
