Your Role & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Industry Market Manager Beauty and Care is responsible for optimizing GP margin in the assigned sub-industry/application by driving category management and market strategies for industry-specific primary basket products within regions. They define customer-specific product baskets and regional product/service portfolios based on comprehensive market knowledge. Additionally, they manage suppliers, source products, and provide guidance on pricing and margin management to local sales teams.

Job Description:

Basket definition, sourcing, and supplier management (50%)

• Define industry-specific primary product baskets within the region.
• Develop customer-specific baskets/solution configurations.
• Collaborate with Product Management in Brenntag Essentials to discuss sourcing responsibilities, avoid overlaps, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships, source products, and conduct business reviews.
• Engage with Purchasing/Procurement for sourcing contracts and ordering processes.
• Oversee new product introductions and ensure product compliance.
• Update the sales force on new products, including training and briefings.

(Sub-) Industry/application know-how and strategy development including opportunities (25%)

• Develop market knowledge to formulate strategies for assigned industries/applications aligned with global strategies.
• Identify trends and new business opportunities within sub-industries/applications.
• Define focus areas for growth and prioritize them.
• Develop market positioning campaigns and promote them within the sales organization.
• Plan themes, priorities, and focus areas for exhibitions and trade fairs.
• Coordinate with colleagues to avoid conflicts with suppliers/products.

Pricing input and margin management (25%)

• Derive pricing strategies from market and supplier insights and establish value-based pricing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate pricing in the system.
• Control product costs and optimize gross profit margins.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

• University degree in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of experience in specialty chemicals distribution, either with a distributor or manufacturer.
• Strong product and market knowledge of the respective industry/application.
• Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the OLEO market.
