Job summary

CIBC's Industrials Group in New York seeks an Analyst to support M&A, equity and debt financings, and advisory projects. You will learn to build complex financial models, prepare client materials, and work with cross-functional teams across Capital Markets.

You'll gain exposure to executives, private equity sponsors, and deal teams while developing industry knowledge and transaction ideas in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree to be completed by May 2027.
• 0–3 years of investment banking experience or related exposure.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing all facets of the group’s mandates.
• Conduct industry research and analysis to identify opportunities.
• Prepare client proposals and pitchbooks for engagements.
• Develop and audit sophisticated financial models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across CIBC Capital Markets.
• Support senior bankers and mentor junior teammates.
