Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Chicago is seeking an Investment Banking Associate for the Industrials coverage team. You will advise corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets, serving as a strategic advisor on capital raises and complex transactions.

You will support deal structuring, perform detailed financial analyses, and mentor junior analysts while expanding Citi's Industrials franchise with new business opportunities. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of investment banking or related advisory experience.
• Experience evaluating transactions and supporting M&A execution.
• Ability to build/interpret valuation models and analyses.
• Clear, concise communication of complex concepts.
• Licenses: Series 79 and Series 63 on hire or already held.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital strategies.
• Execute M&A and capital markets transactions with deep financial analysis.
• Develop financial analyses, including valuations and structure reviews.
• Mentor junior analysts and manage information flow.
• Grow Citi's Industrials franchise through client relationships.
• Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Ensure decisions align with regulatory and ethical standards.
