Job summary
Amalgamated Sugar Company in Nampa, Idaho is seeking experienced welders, pipefitters, and combination welder/pipefitters for our maintenance team. The role supports installation, fabrication, maintenance and repair of equipment and piping systems in a continuous-process facility.
Candidates with welding, pipefitting or multi-craft industrial maintenance experience are encouraged to apply. A 6G welding test is required for employment and on-site work is expected.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Welding certification or pipefitter apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years welding, pipefitting, fabrication or related work.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings and instructions.
- Ability to operate hand tools and welding equipment; overtime possible.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding per specs.
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and structural components.
- Fabricate equipment, brackets and supports for maintenance.
- Read blueprints and piping drawings for builds and repairs.
- Install and maintain process piping and utilities.
- Troubleshoot piping systems and perform preventive maintenance.
