MPW Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer to support our Industrial Water Group, delivering engineering solutions for water treatment and process systems.

The role acts as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and clients to achieve contractual goals and ensure safety and reliability of operations. The position requires hands-on experience with power distribution, control systems, and Networking, plus proficiency in Allen-Bradley controls and FactoryTalk software.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in power distribution, networking, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Practical experience with Allen-Bradley systems and FactoryTalk software.

Responsibilities

• Review operation for compliance with engineering principles, standards, customer contracts, and safety requirements.
• Improve designs focusing on safety through engineering, procedures, and process controls.
• Provide field operations support including diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and control systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics and assist in assembling, wiring, and testing control panels and instrumentation.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/SLC controllers and RSView32/FactoryTalk HMI systems.
• Manage project deliverables and timelines independently or as part of a team.
• Support project lifecycle activities including PLC programming, field testing, installation planning, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with sales, applications, and field service to ensure customer satisfaction and solution delivery.
• Evaluate product and system compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contractual requirements.
