Job summary

MPS Group is seeking an Environmental Technician at the FCA Warren Truck Plant in Warren, MI. The role involves handling solid and hazardous waste, with a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Responsibilities include collecting and transporting waste streams, operating forklifts, inspecting equipment, and assisting with chemical spill responses while maintaining compliance with plant safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management within industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to plant guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash, recyclables, scrap metal and other waste streams and transport to disposal.
• Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to landfill, recycling center, and other streams.
• Perform and document daily equipment inspections prior to use.
• Assist with response to chemical spill incidents by using adsorbents and proper disposal of materials.
• Support daily supply delivery, waste pickup, and waste organization as directed.
