Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled coatings technician to prime, coat and finish pressure vessels, piping and structural weldments in our Guthrie, OK shop.

You will follow qualified procedures, maintain surface profiles, operate blast and paint equipment, and work safely with cranes and forklifts to support production timelines.

Experience with NACE coatings and ISO 9000 environment preferred; high school diploma required; 2–3 years of related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong coating knowledge and technical proficiency in an ASME pressure vessel and structural steel manufacturing environment.
• 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with NACE Coating Requirements is necessary.
• Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is suggested.

Responsibilities

• Set-up/blast with sand, shot or grit.
• Spray paint (A=airless).
• Achieve and Maintain consistent DFT.
• Knowledgeable in coating types and methods.
• Ability to service blast and paint equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Speed of accomplishing tasks - moderate.
• Ability to work safely - must.
• Number of direct quality incidents - <12 a year.
• Other duties as assigned
