Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies in Guthrie, OK is seeking a coating technician to perform blasting and painting tasks to prime, coat and finish pressure vessels, piping and structural weldments after assembly, ensuring quality finish per procedures and production schedules.

You will set up blasting with sand/shot/grit, spray airless coatings, maintain DFT, operate cranes and forklifts, and work safely. Requires 2–3 years in coatings, NACE coating requirements, and ISO 9000 exposure.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with NACE Coating Requirements is necessary.
• Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is suggested.

Responsibilities

• Set-up/blast with sand, shot or grit.
• Spray paint (A=airless).
• Achieve and Maintain consistent DFT.
• Knowledgeable in coating types and methods.
• Ability to service blast and paint equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Speed of accomplishing tasks - moderate.
• Ability to work safely - must.
• Number of direct quality incidents - <12 a year.
• Other duties as assigned
