The position demands reading safety manuals, clear customer communication, and adherence to safety policies. A valid driver’s license and basic math and computer skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience and/or training
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of internet software
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Language: Read/interpret safety rules and manuals; write reports; speak before groups
• Math: Basic math, rates, ratios, and percentages; read graphs
• Reasoning: Apply instructions in written or oral form

Responsibilities

• Reads work order and observes truck to diagnose malfunction
• Provides solutions and estimates when appropriate
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection
• Records repair details on work order, including model/serial
• Obtains customer signatures and communicates repair needs
• Inspects safety devices and makes adjustments
• Lubricates parts and tests repaired equipment
• Represents Equipment Depot to customers and maintains professional image
• Tracks and schedules maintenance with operations or service manager
• Submits time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily
• Returns paperwork to field service coordinator
