Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager to lead tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation projects within a Virginia manufacturing environment. You will manage end-to-end execution, coordinating engineering, operations, maintenance, and external suppliers to meet production needs, budgets, and timelines.

Lead cross-functional teams, drive risk mitigation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven expertise in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation, including managing capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications relevant to industrial installations.
• Proficiency in MS Project, SAP, or similar systems; strong vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and equipment projects aligned with production needs and Capex.
• Lead end-to-end execution of tooling and equipment installation and upgrade projects from concept through commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution with minimal production disruption.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers meeting technical specs, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
