Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Timekeeper for our Baton Rouge, LA location. This role compiles employees’ time and production records, reviews time sheets, and ensures accurate entry into the payroll system.

Ideal candidates will have industrial timekeeping experience, strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and the ability to pass a background check. Responsibilities include reviewing hours, applying cost codes, and generating reports per guidelines while maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Proficient in G Suite/Google Sheets or Excel; pivot tables and VLOOKUP a plus.
• Payroll, accounting and/or bookkeeping experience required.
• Minimum 2 years related industrial timekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards or EnterpriseOne (E1) is a plus.
• Experience with Track Software is a plus.
• Must have prior industrial or equivalent timekeeping experience.
• Must pass a timekeeping test covering payroll requirements and time calculations.
• Must pass a credit and criminal background check.
• May be required to work periodic overtime.
• Strong detail orientation, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review timesheets for completeness and accuracy; enter hours into payroll system per company guidelines.
• Allocate hours with cost coding; review others’ work for accuracy and generate reports as directed.
• Maintain recordkeeping in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
