Job summary

Northwest State Community College is seeking an Industrial Technology Faculty to provide classroom instruction and leadership in curriculum development and assessment. The role includes advising students, coordinating with industry partners, and participating in college committees.

You will teach on campus and at remote training sites, maintain lab equipment, and contribute to accreditation activities, with opportunities to guide part-time staff and student workers.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience preferred.
• Experience and knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
• Minimum of five years industrial experience; currency with industry encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom instruction: prepare, present, and evaluate course materials; provide feedback on graded coursework; ensure a positive learning environment; manage equipment; teach on campus and at remote sites.
• Lead curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation: assess existing courses; develop new courses; participate in policy discussions; visit industry sites; provide leadership to part-time instructors and lab staff.
• Participate in student advisement: arrange office hours and advise on course selection.
• Foster relationships with external partners: colleges, high schools, career centers, industry groups, and professional organizations.
• Attend department and college meetings; follow policies; engage in professional development and accreditation activities; assist with grants when applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
