Productivity Inc. in Arden, NC is seeking an Industrial Supply Customer Support Specialist to deliver product and technical information and support our customers and outside sales team.

You will respond to inquiries, source products, prepare quotes, and coordinate orders while maintaining strong supplier relationships and ongoing product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge in Safety, MRO/Industrial Supply and Abrasive Products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, research, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Word, Excel; Google Searching.

Responsabilités

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, will call, and other channels promptly and professionally.
• Research, source, and recommend industrial supply and safety products to meet customer needs.
• Prepare quotes, check pricing and availability, enter orders, and provide delivery updates.
• Partner with Outside Sales to identify sales opportunities and support account growth.
• Consult with customers to recommend effective products and value solutions; promote current programs and offers.
• Build relationships with suppliers to support sourcing, pricing, availability, and satisfaction.
• Expand product knowledge through supplier training and resources.
• Support day-to-day department operations and assist warehouse as needed.

Customer Service – Industrial Supply

Productivity is a machine tool distributor headquartered in Plymouth, MN. In addition to metalworking equipment, we supply related tooling, as well as safety and industrial supply products. This role will be based out of our location in Arden, NC.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will provide product and technical information on our safety and industrial supply products to support our customers and outside sales team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, will call, and other communication channels in a timely, professional, and solutions-focused manner.
• Research, source, and recommend industrial supply and safety products to meet customer needs, including identifying alternate solutions for backordered or unavailable items.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, check pricing and product availability, enter customer orders accurately, and provide updates on delivery status and lead times.
• Partner with Industrial Supply Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Management to identify sales opportunities, support account growth, and strengthen customer relationships.
• Consult with customers to recommend the most effective products and best-value solutions, while promoting current programs, special offers, in-stock items, and complementary products.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to support product sourcing, pricing inquiries, availability, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Continuously expand product knowledge through supplier training, industry education, and manufacturer resources to better serve customers and support sales efforts.
• Assist with day-to-day department operations and perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support business objectives and customer requirements.
• Main backup support to Warehouse operations as needed.

Requirements

• Product knowledge needed - Safety, MRO/Industrial Supply and Abrasive Products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, research, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Capable PC/computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Google Searching, etc.
• Ability to maintain a positive & productive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, vendors, and management.
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - IN OFFICE
