Job summary

Wanzl in Newton, NC, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; performing preventive and corrective maintenance; installing and relocating machinery; reading schematics; and following LOTO and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with material handling equipment and powered industrial trucks preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

• Perform electrical wiring and install electrical services for machinery and equipment within the employee's qualifications and applicable requirements.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Perform general building and facility maintenance as needed.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend repairs or improvements to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Follow established safety procedures, including LOTO and electrical safety requirements.

Position Summary

• Technical training, certification, or demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with material handling equipment and powered industrial trucks preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting.
• Ability to work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and other protective equipment as required.
