Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Industrial Structural Engineer to design foundations, supports, pipe racks, and platforms for critical industrial facilities in Houston, TX. You will develop calculations, specs, drawings, and material take-offs ensuring code compliance and safety.

The role requires 8+ years of industrial experience and proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, RAM, AutoCAD, or Revit, with EIT/PE preferred. Occasional site travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• 8+ years of industrial structural experience.
• Experience on industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, or data center projects.
• Proficiency with major engineering software.
• EIT or PE certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Occasional travel to project sites (<5%).

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hour (flexible for the right candidate)

Build the foundation for critical industrial projects. We're seeking an experienced Industrial Structural Engineer. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled structural engineering professional who enjoys solving complex design challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering safe, code-compliant solutions for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field with a structural emphasis.
• 8+ years of industrial structural engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, power generation, data center, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, RAM, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering software.
• EIT or PE certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites (less than 5%).

Job Duties

• Design and analyze structural systems for industrial facilities, including foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, retaining walls, and building structures.
• Develop engineering calculations, technical specifications, construction drawings, and material take-offs.
• Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and project management teams.
• Review vendor drawings, resolve technical challenges, and support successful project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and project planning activities.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to industrial facilities and project sites.
• Ability to travel as needed for project support.
