Job summary

Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Co. in Addison, IL, seeks a paint line operator to apply industrial paint finishes to metal products and ensure conformance to specifications. You will start the paint booth, adjust parameters, and inspect parts during production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with paint blasting and mixing of painting materials.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand plant safety guidelines and pass safety training.

Responsibilities

• Starts paint booth and spray equipment to produce first piece part and inspects for conformance.
• Makes adjustments to meet paint specifications and prints.
• Loads/unloads parts and performs periodic wet and dry film thickness checks.
• Completes required paperwork (labor tickets, inspection sheets, etc).
• Ensures safety and quality throughout production and notifies supervisors when off-line.
• Reports waste/issues to Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas and follows company policies.
