Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Rosemount, MN, is seeking an Industrial Painter for a full-time role with excellent benefits. The candidate will operate an airless painting system to coat machines and products with protective finishes in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements include experience with airless paint systems and painting metal surfaces. Pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from product.
• Starts grinder and moves it over surface of workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burs.
• Polishes ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surface.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested.
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
