BEAR Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent to oversee industrial and special projects in Illinois. The role emphasizes safety, quality, field leadership, schedule execution, documentation, and clear communication with BEAR and owner teams.

Responsibilities include developing phasing plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with trade partners. Strong MS Office and Procore skills, plus 401(k) and benefits, round out the package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a construction superintendent preferred.
• Field experience, trade school or college degree (Construction Management/Engineering preferred).
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Familiarity with MS Office preferred.
• Procore and scheduling software awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain phasing plans and look-ahead schedules; communicate progress to the team.
• Track project progress and maintain schedules; coordinate activities with trade partners.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly project site; enforce quality control plans.
• Act as liaison for BEAR and project owners; communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
• Read project documents and manage daily reports, RFIs, submittals, photos, and punch lists.
• Monitor budgets, track hours, and manage field tickets and field work orders.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and site logistics; liaise with permit agencies as needed.
