Job summary

BEAR Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent for the ISPD division in Rolling Meadows, IL. The role leads field teams, ensures safety and quality, and drives schedule execution across complex projects.

You will coordinate with owners, engineers, and trades, manage documentation, and monitor budgets and field costs. Expect a full-time field role with standard hours and flexibility for site priorities on large industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a construction Superintendent preferred.
• Field experience, trade school, or college degree (Construction Management/Engineering preferred).
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Familiarity with MS Office preferred.
• Procore and scheduling software awareness.

Responsibilities

• Field Leadership, Planning & Schedule: Develop and maintain phasing plans and look-ahead schedules; track progress and coordinate with teams.
• Safety, Cleanliness & Quality: Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly site; monitor quality and enforce QC plans.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as liaison with BEAR, owners, architects, trades, and suppliers; document communications.
• Documentation & Controls: Read project docs, manage daily reports, RFIs, submittals, photos, change orders; use project documentation software.
• Budget Awareness + Field Cost Controls: Maintain budgets and estimates for field activities; track hours vs. actuals.
• Materials, Equipment, and Site Logistics: Manage equipment/materials; coordinate permits and supervise trades.
