Job summary

The Industrial Software Engineer I at Mesa Power Solutions is an entry-level role developing software for distributed power-generation assets on Linux-based edge devices, cloud services, and APIs. You will work under guidance to gain practical experience with industrial equipment, OT networking, and deployment.

You will write tests, participate in design discussions, and contribute to software lifecycle activities, including troubleshooting and production support across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university; and/or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, and experience.
• Coursework, internships, projects, or technical training involving software development, Linux systems, networking, embedded systems, industrial automation, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, or data systems.
• Must fluently speak, write, and read in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain production software for Mesa's distributed power-generation assets.
• Implement application logic, device services, APIs, data processing, and database interactions.
• Contribute to CI/CD, versioning, release, deployment, monitoring, rollback, and production change processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity while applying OT security practices.
