Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Safety Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental activities on assigned projects. The role ensures compliance with safety programs, customer requirements, and regulatory standards while promoting a proactive safety culture.

You will advise project leadership, craft professionals, subcontractors, and customers; provide training, incident investigations, and ongoing safety improvements. Strong leadership and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive safety and health experience in industrial construction, maintenance, manufacturing, or related environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities for assigned projects or facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety Execution Plan (SEP).
• Conduct site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and safety evaluations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; prepare reports and documentation.
• Deliver new hire orientations, safety meetings, project-specific training, and workforce development programs.
• Coach and mentor supervisors, craft professionals, and subcontractors on safe work practices.
