Commercial Metals in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Associate to support daily operations across our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and mills. You will assist maintenance staff, inspect equipment, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work safely in environments with temperature extremes and chemicals.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately and participate in safety programs.
• Communicate production issues and concerns to the team.
• Fill out daily equipment inspection reports each shift.
• Carry out tasks directed by operations support management in a safe, timely manner.
• Perform minor maintenance or repairs without wait for others.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and housekeeping duties.
