Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (CVG) is seeking a Sewing Operator to join our manufacturing team in Virginia. You will operate industrial sewing machines to assemble seat covers and related parts for heavy‑duty commercial seating, maintain quality, and keep pace with production goals.

The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a reliable, team‑oriented work approach. Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet production schedules; prior sewing experience is preferred

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
Ability to read and follow process sheets and quality standards.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines to sew cut pieces and form finished covers for trucks, buses, armrests, and related seating products.
Determine and execute the most practical sewing sequence for joining fabric pieces; apply knowledge of material stretch and behavior.
Maintain product quality by inspecting finished work and ensuring it meets CVG standards before advancing.
Follow process sheets for daily/weekly production; keep work area clean per 5S standards.
Communicate production issues and resolutions to supervisors; support a collaborative team environment.
