Job summary

Vitality Staffing Solutions LLC. is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to operate industrial or commercial sewing machines and join, reinforce, decorate, or repair garments, textiles, and other materials.

You will perform setup and calibration, adjust tensions, read production schedules, and guide fabric pieces under the needle to ensure accurate seams and finished products. This role requires attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial or commercial sewing machines to join, reinforce, decorate, or repair garments, textiles, and other fabricated materials.
• Run single-needle, double-needle, serger, or flat-bed felling machines to assemble garments, leather goods, or other materials.
• Draw thread through guides, adjust tensions, select needles, and configure stitch width/length based on fabric type.
• Read daily production schedules, work orders, or blueprints to determine patterns, dimensions, and thread color matches.
• Guide pre-cut fabric pieces under the needle, maintain standard seam allowances, and attach components like zippers, buttons, hooks, velcro, and fasteners.
