Job Description
Tri-State Overhead Crane is growing our customer base and expanding into new areas. We are looking for a strong service technician to join our team in the Indianapolis area! Headquartered in St. Louis, with service locations primarily in the Midwest, our customers span coast to coast. We have 110 employees, making us a good-sized company that is not too small nor too corporate. We differentiate ourselves by designing, building/fabricating, installing, and inspecting/servicing/repairing overhead cranes, covering them throughout their full life cycle.

As a Service Technician, you will perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver repairs onsite at customer locations. Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives; performing scheduled preventive maintenance; and conducting comprehensive quality inspections of overhead industrial cranes and hoists. You should be able to read and understand work instructions, manuals, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technician or mechanic in an industrial environment working on equipment is preferred. Experience working on overhead cranes is highly desirable to enable you to start immediately. The role may require working independently at times and collaborating with other technicians on assignments. We provide a work vehicle, company credit card, and company phone to support your work.

This is a physically demanding job, requiring prolonged standing and repetitive tasks. You will often walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use ladders or lifts. You may need to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Exposure to heat, cold, noise, and heights is common. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
