Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled Scaffolding Journeyman to perform on-site erection and dismantling of scaffolding and rigging heavy equipment at our Texas plant. You will read blueprints, select tools, and ensure safe, compliant execution of all scaffold-related tasks.

Responsibilities include constructing scaffolds, installing ladders and walkways, rigging loads, and inspecting work for quality and safety.

Qualifications

Ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work.
Strong communication with management and supervision.
Proficient use of hand and power tools safely.
Good physical stamina to move on construction sites.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
Identify tools required and measure, mark, and cut materials to specifications.
Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and structures and install ladders, rails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
Construct, reinforce, and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds and auxiliary items.
Perform scaffolding and rigging of equipment loads.
Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities and determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed.
Inspect subordinates' work for compliance and take corrective action as needed.
