Job summary

Austin Industrial in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Scaffold Builder Carpenter to construct, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding on industrial sites. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of scaffolding experience.
• NCCER-Scaff Bldr PV certification preferred.
• TWIC Card and Valid Driver's License required or preferred as noted.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Adheres to OSHA and Austin Industrial requirements during erecting and navigation of scaffolding.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when advised and stores materials after dismantling.
